Using PSU minus M/B

If I don't ask I'll never know, even though I think the answer to the following question is NO....

Is there a "trick" to be able to get +12V out of a power supply if it is not attached to a motherboard?

In other words, is there some way to turn on a power supply to test some 12V case fan circuits?

You must connect a jumper from the standby +5v pin to the power-on pin on the main MB connector. Google for the pinout of the connector.

Thank you, PhilFrisbie. I put a paper-clip from Pin 13 to Pin 14 and I have 12V power!

Better yet, I got the fans and LEDs figured out on my CoolMaster Storm Scout case.
