Using PSU to power LCD controller

Hey all, I'm making a portable "briefcase computer" with the screen in the lid and MB, GPU, etc in the case. I've ordered a LCD controller off eBay which should (hopfully) power and make my old laptop screen live again. The only problem is that it requires it's own power supply and I really don't want to run a second power cable and transformer.
The recommended power supply is 12v4A, can I just use one of the 12v outlets from my PSU? It's 35A supply but I assume that's just the max amperage it can deliver. I'll be putting a 4A fuse in so it doesn't blow but is my reasoning right or do I need to learn how to electricity again? Thanks in advance

Your reasoning is right.

Just make sure you don't draw to much from the PSU...because obviously you will have other loads on the PSU.

As far as the fuse...you don't need it but it's smart.
