I cheaped out on my mobo a couple years back when I got my 8700k, anyway, I am doing a case / psu / aio upgrade and want to get some RGB going. I guess there are no aRGB headers on my mobo so can i use some converters? or maybe should I just get a case with the preinstalling lighting and a hub? then connect with SATA? Thanks for reading

Solution
You'll need RGB fans and a matching RGB controller if you don't opt for a case with built in fan & Controller.

ARGB is the one that gives you the fancy stuff and needs a matching ARGB controller.

Thanks! I am going to get a Lian Li 011D. I think a 3 pack of the QL120s from Corsair (which comes with the node) should do the trick. I just need to decide on a liquid cooler and I think this should all work
