Hello, I recently bought this SSD for my gaming tower and I want to know what are the steps I need to take in order to make this ssd into a bootup drive? Thank you so much for your time!

Sandisk has a utility that typically includes a cloning tool ---- I believe they call it 'Dashboard'

You should back-up the data from the HDD to 'something'

Next time you use a large HDD for an OS you should 'partition' a portion of the drive for your OS and apps only: It makes it easier to clone, later.

Otherwise, you have to reinstall everything.

Install Windows on it or use the likely included in the box cloning software to move your old hard drive over to the new hard drive. This assumes of course that the total data on the old disc is not greater than the storage space available on the new SSD.

Hullo, the ssd is 240gb and my HDD is 3TB
