Using stencils to paint my PC Case?

I was looking at various Half Life (the game, mind you) related things earlier today and I happened to have the idea of using a stencil to put the Lambda used in that game on the side panel of my case. In my head, I imagined it would be kinda cool if it had that "sloppy" look to it like it did in the games at times when resistance marked out supply stashes, with bits of spray paint dripping off the edges of it.

I've found various stencils around the internet and I really wanna do this, but have absolutely no idea on what type of paint to use, or even how I would go about it, so I came here.

The side panel is all metal, by the way, with no window. (it's a Corsair 200R, in other words, if I screw up painting it, it won't exactly be the end of the world.) Also, sorry this is in a somewhat vague category, I couldn't find any related to modding (though this isn't really a mod) or cases.

Realistically any High Performance Enamel Spray Paint will do, but without a primer, it may not stick too well as the surface you are spraying is already finished and coated.

You could always go down to your local hardware store and ask the experts
