Using system builder to install Windows 8

I just built a new computer that doesnt have an operating system at all. Purchased a Windows 8 upgrade which will not work because I dont have another OS. I was told I needed to buy system builder so I can install Windows 8. Is that true? Is it hard to use System Builder? I just want to make sure this is what I need and its not to hard to do because I spent $130 on Windows 8 and its another $100 for system builder. -_-

I think you're a bit confused on this.
You needed to buy JUST the 'System Builder'. It is the OEM installation, used to install on a new PC with no previous OS.
It is not for assisting in the install of the Upgrade version. Upgrade is for upgrading from Win7 to Win8.

Have you opened the Windows 8 Upgrade box? If not, you may be able to return it and get the OEM/System Builder version.

Yes I did open it. The guys at Best Buy said I would need both (because theirs didnt come in a OEM package).

Well if thats the case whether its opened or not, Best Buy WILL take a return on this for false information they have provided me.

But I do suggest getting the OEM/System builder, and make them take that Upgrade back.

Lol, Thanks for all your help. They WILL take it back. I called them and they said they would. May be a different story when I get there though, who knows?

UPDATE: Took the opened upgrade back to "Worst Buy", knew the girl in returns, returned it, got cash, ordered off amazon, will be here Monday...AND was $50 cheaper. WIN WIN.
