Using tv as a monitor

Hello i would like to know if a small 22in tv could be used as a monitor without vga and how to make it so i can use hdmi without the picture to big for the tv.

If the picture is too big you can change resolution. Depend on which TV and which gpu you might need a hdmi adapter. Most TV should have hdmi ports and I believe so does the most gpu out there
