Using Two GPU's to improve preformace

I have a GTX 1070 currently in my PC and I wanted to put in a second GPU either another 1070 or a 1060.

My reason for wanting to do this is because I have a single 144hz Monitor, and 2 60hz Monitor's. I want to use the secondary GPU to run my two 60hz Monitors and my 1070 to run the 144 to end any throttling that may be happening.

If you will be using all 3 for gaming across the screens, you can't do that. You can run the two monitors off another card normally though, you can use any lower end card to do that.

No I want to run other programs, Like Twitch and OBS on the other GPU I'm wondering if that will help with my single 144hz being throttled by the others
