Using Verizon router with a time warner cable modem.

I am using Time Warner Cable modem with a Verizon router. When I joined Time Warner Cable, I did not know they gave me a modem that did not includes a wireless service. So I took one of my friend's old Verizon wireless router and connected it. Now I think I might have people leeching off my internet, yet I cant access my router because my friend forgot the password. My predicament is, I know I have to factory reset the router to get the default login and password. My question is, when I re-configure the wireless router, would I need an Verizon account or no?( Since I am a customer of Time Warner Cable). The router model is Verizon FIOS MI424WR.

Most Verizon Wireless routers (Atleast all the ones I have seen) have a sticker with the login information.
