using vga to dvi conveter display not coming on vga

So, im using xfx ati 6670 , which has only one dvi port . And my monitor is vga no dvi . So i bought a dvi to vga converter to use my gpu, after a few days the display went black in my aoc vga only monitor , i went to my friend house with my full cpu to check , its all working fine with dvi supported monitors. When in plug in to my vga monitor the display is black no signal but works fine with dvi cable that is dvi monitor help plz

did you check the AOC monitor at your friend's house, too?

Yeah i checked aoc monitor at friend's house its not working

what is exact model of graphics card as various xfx ati 6670 models exist some with VGA output

what version of DVI port is on graphics card ? (look at picture on wiki page below)

DVI-I should output vga analogue signal and use a simple DVI to VGA (db15) adapter

other versions of DVI require an electronic converter

so here i go again my graphics card has dvi-i dual link port and [ im using dvi-d dual link to vga converter ] is there is any problem with converter ?
