Using WD Gold drive for storage and games

I recently obtained a 1TB WD Gold drive (WD1005FBYZ) for my desktop PC for storage. However, I am running out of space on my 250GB SSD, so I was wondering what kind of performance can I expect from WD Gold drive I mentioned if I install and run newer games on it? Not considering buying another SSD or hard drive for that purpose, if I can use what I currently have and be satisfied.

It's just a drive, it's not shingled, so it'll perform normally for a 1TB drive. We always used to game off of HDD's we can still do it, they don't affect performance, only load times.

Yes, I know that it's just a hard drive, and load times is what I'm curious about. Nevermind, I'll test it eventually. Thanks anyway.

Right, no-one will have tested your setup (which you haven't described), on your games (which you haven't stated), so no-one can tell you precisely how it will perform.

It'll perform like any other 1TB HDD.

OP, please, could you run a Cristal Disk Mark on your WD Gold 1TB Drive please? Im thinking about getting a WD Gold drive too but like nobody ever bothers to make tests of this drives...

Please, could you run Cristal Disk Mark tests with these settings:
- Test count 3
- Test size 1GiB
Run "ALL" tests, and share results please.
