Hello,
Well i was thinking of using Windows 8 as my main OS. Since the BETA version is available, will it be Ideal to rather keep it as a secondary one rather than the primary one.

Solution
There is no beta out, only the Developers build. Personally I would not use it as a main OS until Beta is out, but I do have it on my netbook and it runs fine. I did try it on my desktop, and it works very well for something that is pre-beta, but it is not ready for prime time yet.

But yes, download it, play with it, see if you like it, but I would not depend on it for my main OS until Beta or RC1 like I did with win7.

Na i would't use it yet. Still not soon enough as its a developer preview and not a beta. A lot of stuff don't work on it yet.

As mentioned by others, this is a dev preview, not a beta. I'm currently running it in a VM for testing purposes.

Windows 8 won't be available for almost a year, so I would not run it as a primary OS just yet. A lot of things will change between now and RTM. Besides, as soon as it is released, you will have to re-install again anyway.
