I want to use four monitors on a dual monitor card. Trying to decide if Fx5600/256MB would work, or to spend the big $'s for a PNY quadro Fx 500/128MB. Any help on how well either would work by adding y-splitters to get to 4 monitors? Thanks

If you use Y-splitters, the signal will be exactly the same on both monitors, only slightly weaker.
You wouldn't be able to extend your desktop to 4 monitors... you would have 2 sets of 2 monitors showing the exact same screen.

The most multi-monitors that you can use to stretch a single desktop is 3, with the Matrox Parhelia.
