i ordered a small thing online off of a website on November 23rd and ive been checking it everyday now and today, November 29th it says it was sent to the carrier this morning and then it says usps. some people say it means its on its way to me but does that mean ill be getting it today or some other day?

Solution
Usually this is FedEx or another carrier. They subcontract to the USPS to do the final mile delivery. So at some point, there is a status in the tracking that the package has been transferred to USPS. Usually 1 to 2 days later it is delivered by your regular postman. I have had packages lost during this hand-off.

'sent to carrier' just means it changed hands.
"Out for delivery" (usually) means it will actually be delivered that day.

it says its at the regional usps facility now
