UT2k4 Patch 3204 Problems

Is anyone else having graphical problems after applying the 3204 patch for
Windows?

I can load and play UT2k4 for approx 10 minutes with no problems, both
online and offline play, with different maps, gametypes and 10-24 players.

BUT after about 10 minutes, the map I'm on suddenly reacts like I've hit a
BSP area, with walls vanishing and random textures appearing and major
interface issues?

Tweaks I've made:

- Increase the "TimeMarginSlack" to combat the over-sensitive "Speed Hack"
setting from Epic.

- Disable "UsePrecaching" to speed up map load times.

I don't see how that would produce the effects I'm seeing?

Any help? At All?

Cheers
Nitefoll

P.S. It's NOT my graphics card as I can play every other 3D game I own with
no problems at all.

Yes. I'm getting exactly that. 9800 pro by any chance?

Yup, that's what happened to me, walls vanishing and everything.

9800 Pro.

I gave up on the latest patch.

Mines is a GeForce 5600, I know it's pants but it does the job at the
moment.

I've tried different NVidia drivers and different VIA drivers, but the
problem's still there.

I'm thinking about re-installing the default and waiting for another patch.

Has anyone else tried this?

I'm still using Catalyst 4.3 and I haven't had any problem with UT 2004.
Try rolling back your driver to that version and see if that helps.

Dunno if you guys are still following this thread, but I think I might have
found a solution to my problem:

It's DirectX 9.0, when I ran the DXDiag program to test my DirectX setup it
threw up LOADS of DirectX 9 related errors.

I found this on the web and it sorted all my issues.
