and i don't mean it slows it down, i mean it disables it.
i'm working on a desktop PC which had to be connected via wifi instead of via ethernet cable like it used to be. in the past, i'd download a torrent and everything was fine, now wheneever i start a torrent the download starts and for a couple of seconds everything works, then everything stops: my browser claims i'm not connected to the internet, my torrent download stops (no connection) and a little triangle appears next to the wifi signal. the only thing to do is close utorrent and reconnect the wifi adapter.

BTW, i'm using edimax AC600

There are many Korean MMOs which have torrents as their recommended client download option. DDL from their servers might take days to complete.

And to be on topic, the last good uTorrent version is 2.2.1.

This is correct. False accusations will get you nowhere. And we mods will be monitoring this thread closely to make sure it does not go off track.

I guess the question is - is it just the torrent? Can you get a download connection downloading anything else? Also what router and Wifi adapter are you using? That could also be an issue.

can't test ethernet no more (adapter stopped working) and i'm using the edimax AC600 wifi adapter. ad for the router i'm not sure.
as far as i'm concerned i can download normally in chrome so i guess it's fine. i'm pretty sure it's the app causing the problem, but i'm not sure why
