V CORE seems high

on hw monitor it reads my v core at 1.7 volts.Is this right? from what ive read thats ridiculously high.Could it be a bad reading?Also i ddint manually overclock,i have it set to optimal in the bios so it runs between 4.4 and 4.6...the chip is a 4790k.Pic link below

It's a pretty normal voltage, considering it's a bit Overclocked.
That seems pretty normal.

I do not see vcore on your link.
1.70v is dangerous for a 4790K. I would not go past 1.30.
What does cpu-Z say it is?

He has ~1.25 V which seems normal to me (as far as I can see from the picture he uploaded).

The link is fuzzy, but I think I see 1.7... VCORE on the line 6 down from the top.
Possibly there is an updated HWMONITOR version.

Yes.... I don't know...... as you said , he should check that with CPU-Z and upload the picture again.
