hi guys,

i am building new system, for the first time, if possible i would like to get some help regarding v6 GT cooler master, i have installed it to the motherboard with no problems, my Questions is
1- " it comes with 1 cable goes to the power supply directly and one cable (Y) connecting the 2 fans and goes to the motherboard, should i connect the one to the power supply and then connect the other 4 pin to the motherboard? or i connect one of them only ? "

2- question the (Y) wire which connect the 2 fans has one end with 3 pins(brown) and one end with 4 pins (black), i am confused if it makes a difference if i connected it to any of the fans? or each fan has specific wire?

Thanks for help guys

Hello lethalstorm;

The molex lead for a direct connection to the PSU will power the cooler lights.

On the 3 or 4 pin motherboard connectors use the one that matches your motherboard CPU Fan header. Your motherboard might be able to regulate the fan speeds based on thermal loads. This can sometimes give a surge type sound to the fans. Your motherboard likely gives you fan control profile options.
