Busted my 530, so I'm back in the market. I'm most interested in
reception and a speakerphone. No interest in a camera.

Looks like these are the two phones that should do it. In the store
today I liked the moto better: looked sturdier ( the 530 broke at the
hinge). But as I look at this forum, phonescoop, wirelessadvisor and
howardforum, there seems a lot more interest in the vx-4500.

Any advice appreciated.

I don't think you can get a V60p without a Push To Talk plan. There is
a V60s which is available that has a speaker phone.

Both phones you mention are good speakerphones but have some minor
issues in the forums. The 4500 is color and has a little more "toy"
factor built in such as digit dial and car mode where it will announce
the number thats calling you.

I had a V60i that served me very well for two years. If the V60s is
anything like it you will like the voice quality.

Either phone will probably serve you well but make sure you give it a
thorough test during the 15 day trial period.

I agree with Teddeli 100%. I have the 4500 and love it. I use the digi
dial all the time when I am driving. Simply idea but I think this is
currently the only phone offering this feature. Great idea to be able to
dial a number just by saying the number. By the way the color screen is
great especially for "old eyes" like mine.
