Howdy great peeps,

I suffer from visual snow, which means that I see a great amount of static (swirling dots) in my vision. This is the reason why I play games on (very) low brightness.

I have a 23 inch crap monitor at the moment and I really need something bigger so I can see better/more & thus I am going to purchase a 34 inch 3440x1440 monitor, but I am not certain which display type..

VA is apparently better at contrast than IPS, but does this mean it's better for me because I play at low brightness?
Or is it the other way around? I'm not sure, I researched quite a bit but I can't find a definitive answer, sadly.

Any help would be REALLY appreciated!

Cheers,
Mike

ive been researching this too becus i also like to use monitors in very low settings, i have an ips stm and on lowest settings it is still way too bright, so i use another dimming app on my pc, this makes things ok but not perfect. with older tvs you could adjust the backlight as well as brightness, but my monitor doesnt give u that option
