Vaio keyboar works only under bios

Hello everyone,

It is about a sony vaio, the keyboard works in bios.

- It does not work on windows or linux live cd.
- In bios when I press caps lock both num lock and caps lock lights do flash for a sec and then go off again.
- I am not sure if the keyboard needs to be replaced, cause the mouse does not work too.

I find it very strange that keyboard mouse do not work under linux (mint) too. Unfortunately the customer has done a fresh install and the recovery partition is wiped out.

I am running out of ideas.. any suggestion/idea would be appreciated.

I've seen it but to be honest didn't pay much attention since all vaio software is gone. As a matter of fact the only thing I have not tried yet is this software oriented solution you suggest.

The guy needed to take the laptop back, as soon as I have a chance I will install all this vaio software and will try that solution, if it works I will post here.
