Valiant Hearts : Great War crashes on startup

I bought Valiant Hearts :Great War yesterday on summer sale. when I launch the game on steam, it opens uplay, which updates, logs in and then starts the game. But immediately after starting the game, I get a white screen and a error message "Valiant hearts has stopped working" and then the game closes. I already installed vcreadist 2005, 2008 and 2010 x64 version. Any solutions?
My pc specs is definitely above recommended but here're they anyway.
i5 3450 3.1~3.5ghz
nvidia gtx 660
8gb ram
Windows 7 ultimate, 64 bit

Uninstall the game and reinstall it. If that doesn't work just verify the game data.

I verified the game data and now it is downloading 529mb file which failed to validate. I will reply if it is working or not after the download completes.
