Valve going to join the console market?

I'm sure it isn't news in this forum but I couldn't find any threads about it.

So Valve is probably going to launch their own console with a steam based OS. Personally I think this is great since I'm a big fan of valve in general. It is also rumored that his console will be able to have replaceable hardware so that the the console will be able to compete with the PC on this area
