I recently bought this card on ebay as I am low on money and cannot afford to get my gaming laptop fixed at the moment.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/311380862533?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

It is a Vamery GTX750. According to the page listing and repeated emails to the seller, it has all the same specs as the GTX750. The seller, based in NJ repeats that it is a "GTX750". I am a bit worried given other threads on this site. The wattage is listed as 300 min on the specs which I have, but I cannot handle more power intensive cards with my power supply. The card might arrive today in the mail. What can I use to positively identify this card? What should I do? Install the card and see what happens?

Thank you very much,

As far as I can tell all the vamery cards are rebranded older cards. I purchased one of these vamery gtx 760 thinking it was to good to be true but I wanted to see what it really was. The card I purchased really was a GTS 450. I put some images and information together for Ebay when I asked for a refund. Here they are:

I'm still in the refund process but the seller has agreed to refund.
My opinion, if it looks the least bit shady or too good to be true, then it is.
Also I can take photos as well. It did not come today so perhaps tomorrow. I has tried to ask the seller if they would like to cancel the deal but they insisted it was a GTX750 and shipped it.

Sorry for the late post. I'd just like to know what happened with this issue for you Kdogg.

When I get the card is there any way to visually identify it? If I install it, is there software that can determine what card it really is?

I'm surprised no one gave you a quick answer on this one. Easiest way to go for this is GPU-z. Small quick program run it and it will give you the complete info off the card. Just search gpu-z for the free program.

I'm still seeing Vamery branded nvidia cards all over ebay.
Prices too good to be true.
It isn't even listing these as refurbished... straight up new.
They say and I'm quoting from the sale page

Package Includes:
1 x Graphics Card
NOTE:
1.Please unload the previous driver before installing our graphics card
2.Please install the optical disk driver from us.

They have this stated in red bold writing with exclamation points in several places on the sale pages of all the GPU's they're listing.
When do you ever see a reputable brand request you to not install legit drivers directly from nvidia themselves?
Just screams BOGUS to me.

Googled Vamery the brand and got an even more bogus looking website. http://computerpartssupplies.com/products/vamery

These have gotta be fraudulent rip off cards.

Anyway I was more curious to find out if you did try installing this thing and had any kind of luck... get a refund... or just get skrewed out of some cash???

Thanks for posting this info. It's exactly what I wanted to know and pretty much what I had figured.

I just didn't think it was that bad!!!!
A GTS 450 as GTX 760? No one will notice right?

That sucks man.
Hope ebay does the right thing.
Really well delivered in depth info thanks again.
