Well well, I did another great move today. I was working inside the computer (again) today and unplugged the HSF, and thought I checked everything before turning it back on again, till I realised that my CPU temp was higher than normal - 50*C while idling (usually sits around 30*C), so I look inside and to my surprise the HSF isn't running, yet "Wow?!" I thought to myself - the fanless heatsink (Vantec's Aeroflow) managed to keep my CPU on idle at 50*C... in my opinion thats pretty f-ing good.
Oh and if you were wondering, inly case fan running (besides dual fan Enermax PSU) was the Vantec Tornado exhaust on low (using Vantec fan controller).

Woohoo! Broke the 30-celcius barrier with through the loud and innefficient world of air-cooling! Also, never - NEVER - play with gum in one hand and hair in the other... just trust me.

yes, depending on thermal output, heatsink size and flow due to the rearcasefan cpu's can last a while.

The more mass the heatsink has the better it will be.
