Vapor-X 7970 CF in a gigabyte ga-970a-ud3

Hi. I was planning on getting a Sapphire Vapor-X 7970 GHz tomorrow, as recommended to me in a my last thread, but would 2 of these in crossfire be able to fit in a gigabyte ga-970a-ud3 mobo?

It has 2 x16 PCie slots, so you should be able to.

I know, but they take almost 3 slots, so I was wondering if they would fit space-wise.
