I have been having some problems with my windows 7 laptop recently. Sometimes the computer won't shut down and hangs on the background screen after hitting shut down. Everything disappears except the background and it stays there indefinitely, so I have to hard reset it with the power button. When I start the computer back up, it takes longer than usual and the normal theme with my start button and icons on the bottom menu has been replaced with something that looks windows 98-esque. Also, I continue to have problems shutting down. I think my hard drive might be going considering I have dropped my laptop many times.
