So I followed Der8auer's guide whilst overclocking my 8086k on a Maximus X board:

After setting "AI overclock Tuner" in BIOS to XMP and rebooting, the board automatically set VCCIO to around 1.34 V, which seems very high. My RAM is only 3000 MHz with 15-17-17-35 timing. In the video above at 8:11 you can see that Der8auer's board defaults to 1.232 V. Is it even safe to leave it on auto and just have to board go as high as it wants to? How high can you really set VCCIO without long term issues?
For now I have manually turned it down to 1.10 V.
