Vcore dropping below .8

I built a new rig (i'm not new at all to building PC's but i'm no guru) i want something that will handle all my games i want to play and do my work. I have at the moment an AMD fx 9590 @ 4.7ghz 16g corsair vengeance 1333mhz ram on a ASUS 990fx sabertooth MOBO powered by corsair cx750 80+bronze modular PSU with a NVIDIA gtx 760 2gddr5 running windows 8.1 on a samsung 830 series SSD. I have lost count how many times i've re installed the OS and updated all my drives for everything i use. I have run pc checks on the hard drives and the mobo. I have even ponyed up for the computer to be tested at a local TigerDirect store where it passed all of their checks. they wrote a clean bill of health and so it should be. the reason why i am posting here is because i keep having the same problem and i've noticed the VCORE will drop from 1.5+ to below .8 at times. Now for my question: Will that cause the display (screen) to suddenly freeze w/ no responses at all i.e. Sound/mouse motion/key commands....anything. I'm running the OS off the ssd so i can't really tell if either of my slave HDD are spinning but they are fine when it doesn't freeze. Here's the kicker, this happens so random i can't continously reproduce the problem. I can be playing a game or just typing a note for work. I am desperate and any help i can get even if i've tried i will be most grateful for. Thanks in advance.

The FX-9590 is a total piece of crap. It draws over 200 watts and requires massive cooling to prevent it from hitting its thermal ceiling. What you're seeing is throttling as a result of it overheating.

i didn't mean to select that as a solution, sorry. Personal opinion aside i have nothing against intel accept for the price. My 9590 is running just fine as far as i can tell. on both the mobo UEFI and the monitor tools the cpu temp doesn't go over 47 even when playing games or benchmarking. so your saying the vcore is dropping because of a thermal problem?

I have my doubts as to the accuracy of that reading. Several reviewers found unrealistically low measurements given the TDP and touch temperature, while others found impossibly low temperatures such as below ambient. I'd like to know what you have cooling that thing. Here's a summary

i haven't read that link yet, sorry. to answer the question because i am looking for some kind of solution to my problem i'm experiencing i'm cooling the 9590 cpu w/ a corsair H100 Liquid cooler in a corsair 600G case with 2 x 240mm case fans pulling into the case and the 2x120mm fans pulling the air up and out of the case and another 120 on the back as is traditional on most cases. i'm using both the asus monitor when running my games on monitor 2 and keeping track of the cooler. and i've watched it in the UEFI and there is maybe a 1 degree variance. maybe i got lucky but thats what i'm getting for readings.

Yeah the H100 is not sufficient to cool that microprocessor. It wasn't enough to cool my 3960x at 4.5Ghz, it would hit 90 degrees and throttle back and according to sensors it dissipates around 220 watts at that rating which is on par with the TDP of the 9590.

ok so i'll start there, any suggestions what to replace it with? i can't find any industry standard on rating TDP for processors. Which was a MAJOR concern of mine when building the concept of getting a 9590. I know its a glorified 8350 and words fail when i think back about how i felt and wanted a 8350 but bought the combo for this mobo cpu i won't fault the single cpu though until its done. Please any specific suggestions i can try?

Honestly it will overwhelm anything short of a custom cooling loop. It's more than just a glorified 8350, it's an 8350 specifically chosen to have the leakiest tranisistors which means the fastest switching speed and also the most power dissipation. It's quite absurd

you know i'm all for this replacing the cooler if thats what causing my problem but i'm just not sure, i'm not getting "normal" thermal reactions from the whole system.
