Vcore Voltage?

I've read a few places whenever you overclock you should raise the Vcore voltage. I have my 1.2ghz thunderbird running with a 150mhz bus so its around 1.35ghz, what would you recommend as a voltage?

My parents warned me to wear earplugs when shooting a rifle, but never using my computer.

Only raise the voltage to counteract instability, as it makes your stuff run proportionally hotter.

For example my oem XP1600+ runs at 166*10=1660 stabily, but only if I bump the voltage to 1.775V. It actually ran stable at 166*10.5=1743, but I had the voltage over 2V to get it stable. At 1743 it wasn't all that much faster and was tons hotter, so I backed it down to 1660.

This all with my newish PAL8045 with a really quiet fan on there. I hope to get a stable cool 1743 as soon as I run a high speed fan and some ductwork. We shall see.

As said you only need to do it if you get unstabilities with a higher clockspeed. Keep in mind that a higher voltage results in higher temps... so you want to keep it at low as possible if you want to keep it cool.
