Hi all, i recently built my self a gaming computer, and today i decided to run some benchmarks, while doing this 2/3 mins in my computer keeps switching it's self off and at one point i got a warning saying asus shut down my computer to stop it surging.

I'm now looking at HW monitor and my VCORE is currently on 1.856V is that normal? or is it way to high? if so how do i change it? i'm worried it could be damaging my computer.

Below is my HW statistics

any help would be amazing! thanks.

Hwmonitor seems to be showing faulty info. If your i5 were actually at almost 1.9v on the vcore the chip would likely be fried. 1.4v is about tops and for a daily driver 1.3v or less on vcore would be preferable. The info in hwmonitor also doesn't show max frequency above 3.9ghz which indicates you're probably running at stock speeds and not overclocked. Some software can be glitchy and read the wrong sensors ending up in wrong/faulty info.
doesn't matter, i think i found the surge problem, my USB 3.0 cable is causing it, i've unplugged it and now i've no problems, only trouble is finding out if it's my motherboard or the cases USB 3.0 cable..
