Let me explain. I am about to order a new connection in the house I will move in soon and I will for sure choose VDSL. My choices from my provider are 30 Mbps or 50 Mbps. There is an area tester if the area is compatible with VDSL connections BUT is there a way to test the speed of the area before I choose connection? Cause I should avoid paying a 50 Mbps connection and my speed to be around 25-30 Mbps.

Call the ISP and ask what their policy is. In many cases the difference between the plans is billing only and they artificially set the speed lower if you choose it. I would order the 50 and when they come to install it if it does not test to 50 using their pc behind the router I would request they change the plan to 30m. It is not really possible to test yourself. The phone company may be able to guess because they know the length of the wire to your house in most cases.
