VDSL or COAX internet connection?

Hello guys, so I am stuck in a big dilemma, currently, I am having ADSL with speeds of 8Mbit download and 0.7Mbit upload on copper cable, I am around 2 kilometers away from central station

So, I got an offer from another company (as loyal mobile operator user) to switch to their internet which would give me 50Mbit download and 7Mbit upload through Coaxial cable which was recently installed in building for around 28€ (No telephone included!). This offer lasts till the end of this month!
Meanwhile, I got counteroffer from my current provider (Funny they are both owned by same company) with upgrade to 40Mbit download and 10Mbit upload on VDSL on this old copper cable(I have telephone with it) for an additional around 3€ which would sum costs of it to 24€ monthly.

Now problem is, if I'd like to test VDSL it might take up to 45 days to have a test month as theres high demand for it. Meanwhile that offer for 50Mbit will expire this month. So I am not sure if I should gamble and go for VDSL? I know I've read charts on 2 kilometers speed drops dramatically, but are there some boosters for signal which they might use? Or should I go with Coax?

Thanks in advance!
Petar

COAX is awesome(definitely better than VDSL).
So I would go for it.

Cable:

Though often confused with fiber, cable utilizes the coaxial cable that connects to your television set. In contrast to DSL, the quality of a cable connection does not depend on distance so your speed is guaranteed regardless. However, unlike DSL, which runs on a dedicated line, cable connections are typically shared amongst your neighbors, making it a slightly less secure option. As far as speed goes, cable access range from about 3 to 10 Mbps, which is essentially 3 to 4 times faster than DSL. Keeping in mind that this speed is reflected in the price, you should expect to pay a lot more for cable service.

This tends to be almost a impossible thing to guess and when you can't test it gets hard to say.

ADSL they will quote some maximum rate but what you get is based on the distance to your house. They would have to tell you what they realistically expect you to get.

The main difference is the connection between your house and the central office on dsl is dedicated to just you. It is then combined with other users and you would hope they have a lot of bandwidth at that point. On cable you have a similar connection point in a central location but from there everyones data is mixed together and transmitted out. You actually receive all the data sent to your neighbors your modem just pretends it doesn't see it. So the rates cable companies quote is a little harder to say what you really get. Years ago this was a serious issue because they over committed so badly now the links are so fast and most people do not even come close to using it that you see less issues.

So without actually testing it there is no clear answer.

Maybe a better question would be which company do people hate the least. Customer service when you have issues is critical. Unless you constantly download huge files you likely will see very little difference between the 2 options.

Coax > DSL.

First of all that 40mbps is getting top end on dsl with little room to go up.

More importantly as a protocol/connection dsl is way more susceptible to traffic and distance from the phone company. Thus a 90% capacity coax connection at 10 miles from the main office will suffer 10% loss while for dsl under the same conditions could have 25-50% loss.

Well some of my family would like to keep telephone even tho actually its rarely used, on the other hand I am looking to get highest possible upload speed I could as I have game servers and often my current low upload speed causes me issues so I really need best possible upload speed I could get 😛

Well they have all policy which they must obey (is law) and its to provide at least like 3/4 of that speed all time.
