Vectrex Screen Problem

Hello All,

A little/big problem with a vectrex I have. Screen is intermittently
working and I am not sure the reason why. On several occasions I have
turned the machine it has worked fine, when I turn back off and plug
cartridge in the screen does not work - sound present but no display. Take
cart out and turn on to see if Minestorm works - but no go also. I have
turned the brightness up and notice that there is a very small white line
part way across the middle of the screen left to right. There is 'movement'
visibly in the line, that is I can see the line flicker when I am shooting
in minestorm.

Any ideas, or can someone point me in the right direction?

If it's intermittent like that, I'd say there's could be a bad contact or
it's a heat related fault (does it happen when the Vec has been switched on
a while ?)

Try re-seating the chips, if that doesn't work use component cooler to
pinpoint the bad one.

Thanks for the response Richard. I thought it may have been a heat problem
but it has been occuring as soon as the machine is turned on. I will
recheck the chips though and see what happens.
