Hello guys. I have quite a problem... I got a new pc 1 year ago with a vega 56 and wanted to play on 2k on some titles...
It seems tho that I can't rly play these titles on 2k unless I want to burn my whole pc. It goes up to 85 C and my room temp can go to 25 on these days because of that.

Now when I game some games my pc shows artefacts and I must restart the pc basically it crashes... Sometimes I get a blackscreen and i can't see video anymore...

Is it because of the 500W psu or is it a gpu defect???. I am running furmark and when I start the test I get artefacts and it crashes... I am not even in the test... When I start it on full HD and not wqhd it works fine tho.

So conclusion my card can display everything on full HD without error but crashes on 2k on many games and tools. Gpu defect or should I get a better psu?

Thx :)

The recommended wattage for a PSU is 650w: https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/radeon-rx-vega-56

Vega 56 GPUs do run hot, but it seems you are stressing your system (PSU in particular) and could be leading to a catastrophic failure.

Are you overclocking anything (CPU, GPU, memory)? If so, stop! Revert to stock speeds.

What is the make/model of your PSU?

Thank you for your response,
I don't know the name of the psu but I know that it's rly rly old cause I used it for my 10 year old pc and it's 500W. I didn't overclock anything with vega 56 I undervolted it one time tho.
Do you think that I damaged my gpu because of that? Or do you think that if I get a new psu (which I will get immediately as you told me the needed psu Wattage) the problem goes away... I thought that artefacts are a gpu problem and not a psu so I am not sure 🙁

My system all in all is :
Saphire vega 56
16gb RAM 3200
Ryzen 5 1400
Mainboard is the B350
1 GB Hdd
256 GB ssd
500W psu
