Hi guys,

The title says it all. I've been waiting for a gpu for ages (i have a 7950). I was trying to wait for a AIB version but they seem like months away. Out of the 2 options what one do you think is more worth it.

Vega 56 for £390 from Overclockers

or

Vega 64 for 470 from Overclockers.

Or is there another deal worth going for? I am hoping a little that there is more optimization to be had in the long term to bring out a little more from the vega lineup.

Thanks in advance you options are really appreciated!

1440p. I don't mind turning down the settings a little if 56 is much better value as that's what I seem to read. However the 64 is currently on discount what is making me wonder if I should go for that instead :( sorry my brain keeps going around in circles on this....

Does Black Friday often do good GPU deals? I wonder if I should try and wait for that?

Thanks!

You'll undoubtedly get a good deal on a graphics card on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. In fact you could consider picking up a last gen AMD card for a steal.....the likes of a 390 or a 480, 580. The Vegas will still be pushing that premium price range even on sale.

Usually, Black Friday/Cyber Monday will list previous generation products for a very cheap price. But I doubt that will be the case this year. Mining has drastically increased the prices of these cards and vendors may not have enough inventory to throw out some good deals. You may get a decent deal on some 4gb models, but I would not hold my breath.

Both of those prices are goo good and I doubt the cards will be there long as stocks are low for Vega. I would go with the Vega 56 and use the money saved on some games. The 56 is great for 1440p gaming and you should not have to turn down any settings for reasonably optimized games.
