Hello everyone!

I am tempted to jump on the bandwagon and purchase an RX VEGA 56 after it's 48% price drop recently but I would like to know if my 550W bronze Corsair PSU can handle it. In the card's documentation I can see that it uses 650 watts, but i have seen many people say that my current PSU is capable of supporting VEGA 56, and many other people say that I should get a gold-rated 600+W PSU.

Instead of asking for answers like "yes, your PSU can support VEGA 56", or "No, buy a better PSU", I would like to know why you guys think those things.

Thank you for reading.

A no, you need to get a new better quality PSU for the card, and not the one you are thinking about either.

Get a high quality PSU, do not get any budget PSU models, you will both regret it and put your GPU at risk.

The CX is NOT that good of a PSU for higher end GPU's.

Yes, a 650W PSU is what you need to go with.
