Vega 56 with an i7 930?

Hello, I recently bought a Powercolor Vega 56 and tested it today. I tried to install the driver but windows always crashes. with my old graphics card too.
is that because the i7 930 is not compatible with the vega? I'm already aware of the i7 bottleneck the vega but that's okay until the ryzen 3000 models are released.
should i return the card or what should i do?

Ram: 8 GB XMS3 DDR3-1333 (I recently had 12 gb but half of the ram broken)
SSD/HDD: 120SSD / 5TB HDD
GPU: Powercolor RX Vega 56
PSU: thermaltake paris 650w
Chassis: NZXT S340 elite
OS: Windows 10 64 Bit

my psu is just 1 1/2 years old
