Hello! I'm looking to purchase a new card or cards, my currently monitor is a 1440p 144hz Freesync.

I wanted to know what would be best for my setup, i've never used Freesync or G-sync but have heard good things about them... Is it worth it in your opinion?

I'm not sure if i should go with a Vega64 Crossfire (Would be a bit cheaper, getting from a friend) or would waiting for the 2080 be best for me?

I'm trying to find a card soon so any help is definitely appreciated!

Specs:
MSI Optix MAG27CQ
I7 8700K
16GB DDR4
EVGA 650W GOLD PSU

Thank you!!!

SLi has it's issues (microstutter and such), and not every game supports it. I have had SLi in the past and I feel it made more sense back then. I believe with DX12 the multigpu scaling support will be handled by the SW developers. It is my opinion that the developers will find it pointless to cater to the 0.1% who game with multigpu setups. I would go for a single more powerful card.

Yeah that's what i wanted to do, if i decide the RTX isn't for me, do you think crossfire is a bad idea? I've have never used SLI or Crossfire but have seen quite a few gameplays with them, i'm not sure what problems they have or if there really is any big problems.

Thank you!
