Guys I hate this being a first post but I'm at a loss, I've scoured every search engine I have and can't find an answer.
I purchased a used Vega 64 from a friend, he kept having heat issues with it and had a water block on it. He put the stock cooler on it and sold it literraly dirt cheap so I bought it.
Its running great for me but was getting a little hot on the hot spot 111C. I pulled it apart because he even admitted he just threw it back together with the stock cooler
Here's where I think his problems were from.
It was missing some screws from the board into the stock refrence cooler, (the same size that hold the back plate on) I need those, from what I can tell measuring them they are 2.5x5mm? anyone know specifics? I can order those on Amazon.
The factory GPU X bracket is gone and he was using spring screws on that, i'd like to get a x bracket and screws- any idea where I can get one? I can't find them at all.
Lastly he was using spring screws to mount the factory fan, these are the same size using for the GPU heatsink mount, any idea what size those are? They are smaller than the board to cooler screws. If can get a size I'm sure I find and order those.
Since taking it apart, re-pasting and leaving the backplate off / using those screws to securely mount the cooler the hot spot is down to 95c
This card if very operable just needs some TLC.
