vegas preview lagging

hello everybody recently i have started capturing footage of my games and i edit them,
if i capture at 60 fps and open in on vegas, it just cant play them, its laggy as hell and i dont know what to do because my friend who has a 4770 (btw i have i7 3770k @ 4.1) can play them back perfectly.
is it a cpu probleam ?
or should i jsut reinstall vegas and it should work properly?
is there any way to use more of my gpu instead of cpu what trying to preview?

asus p8z77-m pro
i7 3770k @4.1Ghz
gigabyte r9 290 windforce edition
2x4Gb g.skill x 1600mhz
corsair cx650m

Are you and your friend using the same version of Vegas? Do you both have the same amount of RAM? You stated you have 8GB of RAM, how much of that is available? Is it laggy outside of Vegas?

we both have the same version and same amount of ram, and its not laggy outside vegas
