Vegas won't play audio in AVI...............................

Hi,

I captured my video from my mini DV camcorder on to my computer. I
tested the AVI file and it plays fine with audio. I created a project
in Vegas Video 4 and I inserted the video into the track. When I go
to preview it, the video plays but I get no audio. What am I doing
wrong? Thanx in advance.

There are several ways the audio track can accidentally be muted.
Is this happening on a brand new project or do you already have some clips
on the time line?
