Hi all,

I'm about to start my first assembly in the next few days, and I'm looking into cable management options. Velcro ties look great for outside of a case; are they also ok inside a case? (Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-ONE-WRAP-Self-Gripping-Reusable/dp/B001E1Y5O6/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1415728110&sr=1-1&keywords=cable+ties)

I'd rather use those than zip ties, as long as there aren't any concerns about velcro ties damaging parts.

Thanks!

I have used velcro ties for temporary cable management and it works fine. I mainly use them for massive wire snakes or to tie down something I know I will be replacing, but I use zip ties to tie cables to holes or other dedicated cable management points. Certain cases might have loops that are only big enough to slide a zip tie through. In tighter areas, it might be a better option to use zip ties simply due to the lower amount of space they take up. They are also dirt cheap too, a couple bucks for a pack of a hundred. Back on topic, no, I have not had any issues using velcro for cable management.
