Hi, all.
I have a 300GB WD Raptor drive. (as an aside, it scored a 5.9 on the windows 7 score which seemed low for a premium drive) Whenever I install or uninstall something, it takes approximately 3 minutes for progress to actually begin. This is a decrease in performance from my old computer which was junk and had an even junkier HDD. I have a very nice build now and everything is lightning fast except for that. Is there anythign that may be causing this?
It just seems like for how decked my PC is, things like beginning an install or populating my program list in the add/remove program list shouldn't take so long. I assumed this was a hard disk issue.
