Okay, these are totally different from the last time I hired a vendor. Is
there a Stratics page that details their usage?

I used one, set the time to 1 month, set the fee to 0 and tried to give it
to myself but I couldn't get the vendor to appear. Not sure what else
there needed to be done.

Those are only to give/rent a vendor to someone else. You need to go to the
bank and buy an employment contract from the bank personel.

Hmmm...thanks. Kind of weird having two different contracts.

Not really weird. People wanted a way that they could allow someone
to place a vendor in their house, without giving the person full access
to the vendor house. The "rental space contract" does that.
