[SOLVED] Vengeance PRO 3200mhz OC?

Hey guys, I'm looking to OC my ram however this is the first time I've ever done it with ram.

A friend told me I just copy the timings of the same kit but at a higher stock speed?

Like my Vengeance RGB PRO 3200mhz timings are 16-18-18-36. If I want to go to 3600mhz I just take the 18-19-19-39 timing that the stock 3600 are at? Is this correct?

Rest of the system is:
I7-9700k @ 5ghz - 1.275v
ROG Strix OC 1080ti @ +0.85mv, +60 core, + 400 mem.
ROG Strix z390-F mobo

I seriously doubt a 3200 kit is going to run stable at 3600.

It might work, it might not. You might need extra voltage up to 1.4V to get to 3600 also.

Going off the Guru3D review 3600 MHz and CL17 at 1.4 V. You do not touch timings?

Yes, increase voltage along with timings also.

So, raise the V to 1.4, speed to 3600mhz, use the 18-19-19-39 timings from the stock 3600mhz kit.

Test for stability and thats about it?

The kit reached 3733 on the tom'shardware review, and 3600 on the Guru3D... I guess there is only one way to find out for myself!

OCed to 3600 @ 1.4v - 18-19-36 timings. Ran AIDA64 for an hour, all good!

Is there any reason to try lower V settings like for a CPU? or is it useless since heat is a non issue?

If you felt like tweaking you could try it. I think you'd be pushing it for stability though.
