Hello, I built my computer a while ago and I am wondering if putting my unit under a desk is a bad idea because of ventilation. Will putting my computer under my desk result in more overheating?

P.S. Another question I have is; Is it ok to have the PSU fan right against the floor/rug?

Thanks,

And sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Solution
Would depend on the desk, but as long as it has a good 10cm either side and 5cm at the top of free-flowing air it should be fine.

Nope. Either raise the case off the floor or flip the PSU unit so it intakes air from the inside of the case. Running it fan down into carpet is a good way for it to overheat.
