I've used Ventura Publisher since it came out in '86...well, my first was version 2 which was a "real soon" after v1.1 was released. There was a strong user group on CompuServe until that pretty much faded. I'm still using it and the Database Publisher than Ventura Software acquired in '90 or so, pulling in data from a DBF file, including photos, and automatically formatting them as it happens. Amazing to see this happen on the screen in front of you.
There also used to be a strong Ventura User group based in the Netherlands. I don't think they're around anymore. I know one of the developers who worked on Ventura for Corel is holed up in the absolute tippy top of Ireland programming on an (ugh!) Macbook.<LOL>
These days I use it running under 64-bit W10 Pro with compatibility set to XP SP3. Seems to me it runs with far fewer problems (which were mostly memory allocations and management issues) than we had in W2k or even XP.
