Ventura vs Kyle- Was Ventura right to sue?

I also agree that Ventura was right to sue. From what little I read about the case, I don't point the finger at Kyle but at the publisher of Kyle's book for not performing due diligence. Ventura was able to prove damages for what has turned out to be a failure by the publisher. What sucks about it is that Kyle has since died and suing a dead man for liable just seems like kicking to corpse after it's buried, no pun intended.

I just can't imagine him telling any SEAL that it was time for the SEALs get their asses handed to them. Heck, Ventura was a Frogman, a member of the UDT, for fv*k sake, they were the pre-cursor to the SEAL's!!!!! For that reason alone I can't imagine him dressing down the SEAL's, an active or retired SEAL, or any member or former member of the military!

From every interview, article, book, and TV spot I've seen Ventura on, he was and has been the consummate patriotic American, first to defend the military. I personally believe him and cannot think of a reason why he would lie about being defamed.

I figured Jessie would get slammed for this, especially after his 9/11 expose' episodes, making him look bad for suing the widow to clear his name.

I find it ironical that at one point the widow claimed all proceeds would go to charity, but now it's like Jessie is taking food from the children's mouths?

I don't blame Jessie for doing what he had to do, to clear his name, no matter the cost!

Maybe things would have turned out differently for Michael Jackson if when his lawyers suggested he pay off, he had said Hell NO, I'm not paying I'm innocent!

But once Michael made the payoff, he was instantly assumed guilty by the majority of the population!

If a person is truly innocent of false claims, IMO, they should fight to the death if necessary, to clear those false claims, and settle for nothing less than full absolution!

I knew in my heart that with the things Jessie Ventura was making public regarding 9/11, sooner or later they'd find a way to shut his mouth, or completely discredit him, because they couldn't actually kill him, and bring public light to his claims!

For that matter he wasn't exposing any more of 9/11, than some of us had already considered ourselves!

My 2 cents I'm happy for Jessie it turned out the way it did!

Ventura was completely correct in the case.I agree with you .Ventura is not dumb and knows what is up all the time.
