verbatim model IS500 display says 0MB Free

I have just formatted my Verbatim IS500 and the display still reads 0MB Free when I know that the drive is completely restored with no files on it whatsoever. Also the name that I chose for the drive does not show. What's up with that?

Hey there. This doesn't sound very good. Have you tried the drive with a different computer to see if the same thing happens again? You could also try downloading the manufacturer's formatting tool and see if you have any success by formatting the drive with it. Also I'd suggest you run a diagnostic toll's tests to see what they show and if the HDD's still OK.
